Bachelor in Early Childhood Education

Program Description

As an educational institution, Colegio De San Lorenzo is steadfast in molding students into capable, highly qualified professional teachers. The Bachelor in Early Childhood Education program equips its students with the basic and specialized knowledge and skills needed in educating pre-school and elementary students. The curriculum is also designed to include foundational and general education skills, theoretical knowledge about teaching and learning, methodological and experiential lessons, and ethical values essential for every educator.

Several notable courses in the program include Practice Teaching, Facilitating Learning, Pre-School Curriculum, and Technology in Pre-School Education. After graduating from the program, our future educators may develop careers in the academe as preschool teachers in both public and private schools. They are also qualified to become curriculum developers for the preschool level.

Bachelor in Special Needs Education

Program Description

Successful graduates of the Bachelor in Special Needs Education degree program are equipped with a strong foundation on theories and principles in educating pupils with mental and physical disabilities. Practical methods, strategies, and techniques in handling children with specific mental and physical needs are also rigorously taught through the courses in the program. This training will aptly prepare graduates for real-life scenarios they may encounter in the classroom.

Assessment of Children with Special Needs, Education of Children with ADHD, Behavior Management, Inclusive Education, and Effective Communication with Special Needs are some of the specialized courses in the program. By the end of the program, successful graduates can pursue fulfilling careers as SPED teachers in a preschool or SPED teachers.

Licensure Examination for Teachers Certificate Program

Licensure Examination for Teachers – Certificate Program

This certificate course is for aspiring professional teachers who are graduates of non-Education courses. The LET-EC qualifies them for the teacher’s board exam by the Professional Regulatory Commission. Six Education subjects equivalent to 18 units are offered over two semesters. Classes are scheduled on Saturdays to accommodate working professionals.
